This blog was born out of having ample time to think while breastfeeding, time to write after baby went to sleep and lots of creativity generated out of having a new excitement in my life: baby. These articles are written with the intent to help you on your personal journey of breastfeeding and being your best version of you as a mother to your son or daughter. Although not academic in nature, I have incorporated lots of factual information about motherhood and breastfeeding while writing in a more personal anecdotal tone for people to relate to keep things fun and interesting. My background is in registered nursing while studying lactation science on the side to become an IBCLC (international board certified lactation consultant). I am a mother as well to a wonderful girl named Emily and her new brother Daniel James. I live in Portland with Emily, Daniel and my husband, Greg.
